Ange aims to create a space where you feel understood and supported, where therapy is about working together to understand what's going on, and what is needed to move towards meaningful change.
Ange's therapy approach is trauma-informed and she holds in mind an attachment lens. Ange tailors her therapy approach to suit the needs of each individual, and draws from a range of evidence-based therapies including:
We'll work together to find the approach, or combination, that best fits your unique patterns, aims and preferences.
Above all, Ange believes in the value of connection, both within the therapeutic relationship, and with the parts of yourself that may have been neglected, silenced, or overwhelmed.
Ange works with adults from all walks of life, and in various seasons of life, including but not limited to those navigating pregnancy, fertility challenges, early parenthood, or other significant life transitions. Ange is experienced with and enjoys supporting adults with a varied range of mental health concerns.
Ange is not currently accepting referral of WorkCover clients, and does not provide couples therapy, nor legal assessments/reports. Ange does not work with clients moving through current domestic violence or family court as she believes more specialised supports and services are better suited.
Ange is an experienced clinical psychologist, having worked with adults in both hospital outpatient and private practice settings. Following working initially within Queensland Health at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and the Ipswich Hospital, in 2008 Ange established her own private practice. She has supported people through a wide range of mental health concerns, life transitions, and personal challenges.
In the past few years Ange developed a particular interest in perinatal mental health— supporting individuals through the emotional complexities of fertility, pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. This work often includes processing identity shifts, managing anxiety or low mood, working through trauma, and finding ways to reconnect with yourself and nurture important relationships during a time of profound change.
Ange holds general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) in conjunction with the Psychology Board of Australia and is endorsed in the area of clinical psychology. Ange completed her tertiary training in psychology at the University of Queensland, and holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major and honours in the field of Psychology, and a Masters of Clinical Psychology.
Ange is also a certified birth & postpartum doula and has experienced supporting women and their families in this role as well. Ange is not currently working as a doula, but finds that her doula experience and being alongside women in birth and early postpartum providing emotional, informational and physical support has enriched her work as a psychologist, particularly in supporting women who have experienced birth trauma.
Ange has three children spanning early primary into high school. Her lived experience traversing the delights and challenges of becoming and being a parent helps to keep her grounded and non-judgmental. In her free time Ange loves being in nature, live music, singing, song-writing, eating yummy food in good company, and listening to podcasts and audiobooks about her latest area of interest!
